This is a more detailed version of my first post:

David in Chu Lai, Vietnam - 1969            Dave in Virginia City, NV - 2001

David Walker passed quietly on November 27 in the Veterans Hospital at Reno, NV. He has been battling several life threatening illnesses for the last few years and finally succumbed to ALS.

David attended Piedmont High School from the 7th grade to the ninth grade and graduated from Skyline High School in 1964 after his family moved to that area.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy pursuing a medical career achieving a rating of Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class in the US Marine Corps. He spent one of his military years in combat at Vietnam with service in a Marine CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter and was awarded numerous Air Medals for his "Dust Off" evacuation operations in the Da Nang and Chu Lai areas.

David was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the US Marine Corps League. He was very proactive and often an elected officer.

We will miss you Dave and our great times. Rest In Peace.
