Comments:

After graduating from USC with a BS in Education (Visual Design major/Math minor), I taught mostly 6th grade in Huntington Beach for 7 years. Married my 'summer boyfriend', Steve. He grew up in Laguna Beach, where my family vacationed every summer for a month. We first met when we were 10 & dated every August, but never during the year, because we were not 'geographically desirable'. We've been married 43 years & he's STILL by boyfriend!

In 1973 we Started Fosters' Gardens, Inc., an interior/exterior plantscapes sales and maintenance company. Steve is 'The Green Thumb' and I continue to deal with the office mgmt 'stuff'. We envy all our retired friends, ,but realize with the current financial climate & government over-regulating businesses, we will most likely work till we expire :-(

After 3 years in Newport Beach, we moved to Irvine, where we lived for 33 years. We moved to Laguna Beach 8 years ago and LOVE IT here.

When time permits we enjoy playing golf (for fun, not scores) and spending time on our yacht ~ whether in Newport Harbor with yacht club friends or cruising to Catalina Island and other So Cal waters.

I truly treasure attending our PHS Reunions and realize how special it is to reconnect with OLD classmates. Our Class of 1964 can definitely take pride in the invaluable K-12 experiences and friendships made that keep us all coming back for "MORE". Can't wait to see everyone!

I tried to upload a Christmas photo of our family last year with 'The Red Dragon' that I drove in HS and at USC, but it's probably too small to view. Anyway, I still have the 1930 Model A Ford that my parents 'courted in'. It's always been a major player in our family.

Cathy, so excited to hear you & Tom were able to attend Trump's Saturday Rally. What a fabulous BDay. Just think now we're both the same age as The Donald !!

Happy O-L-D Day, Steve. Bet you were celebrating with Trump at Mar-a-Lago! It was exciting seeing his motorcade coming into Newport Beach for his fundraiser on Harbor Island. Just FUN, POSITIVE, HAPPY, EXCITED SUPPORTERS. And great weather here. They also had a flotilla of boats Saturday in the harbor off the home where his luncheon was held. And then Another giant Flotilla of boats parading around the entire Harbor on Sunday. Glad I'm still younger than you. :-)

Bob,

Had heard what a 'painful' battle you'd been fighting for sometime.  So true that you kept our Class of '64 tied together with your leadership and GENUINE concern, warmth & friendship for all of us.  I still remember the banana cream pie you made for my birthday years ago.  Such a sweetie!  I DITTO all my other classmates that you truly always did have a twinkle in your eyes & smile on your face  . . . often after just being 'naughty'.

"Friends are a gift to us, their presence a blessing when they are on this earth.  After they have gone, we mourn . . . and then we celebrate the Life they lived, the love they shared, the difference they made for having been in our lives."  I will always treasure memories of the fun times we enjoyed together.

RIP !

You are now in God's hands.

Happy OLD BDay, Sue. Didn't realize how many were probably 'After The War' babies. June is the best month. I'll chime in with what Muff said. You and she are both WAY older than I am. Hope you're doing something fun with Dr. Dan and your family. Anything to take the spotlight off our Country's situation.

Happy 'OLD' Day, Roger! Hope you're out riding a Flexy down Scenic Avenue, so you don't have to fill your car with GAS :-). XO from a much younger classmate!

Happy Late BDay, Pam. Sure never thought we'd be this OLD. Funny I was just talking with some of my Walkie Talkie friends and we were talking about how lucky we were to attend the schools we did & when we did compared to present day. Anyway, I was explaining our Kindergarten little school room and how we had fun building wooden airplanes etc and painting, etc. I thought I remembered one time you & I went to the little restroom in our classroom and pulled out sheets of PT, wadded them up into little like balls and gave to our classmates. Think we told them to wait till they got home to open, cuz they had diamond rings in them. Have no clue why I remember that and hopefully it was you who helped make these little TP packages.
Hope all's well for you in Barcelona. Think I'm the only one NOT retired yet, but Steve and I are still working our business. I'm managing to get a couple days a week of golf in with friends. Hope you remember to celebrate Thanksgiving and haven't forgotten all our American traditions. You know how they're trying to change all our History over here. Very SAD! Guess USC is playing UCLA tomorrow. I'm sure we'll get totally slaughtered. It's been very disappointing to have the current SC President (nobody happy with) take our great school down to the bottom on all fronts. So many long time Trojan Family Alumni stopping all donations, because of the direction she has taken SC over the last few years.
On a positive note: We still LOVE living in Laguna and all our Foster Kids and grandkids are within 20 minutes, we are sooooooooo lucky. Take care, OLD Friend, and again, Happy Late Birthday.

Helene, Happy Early BDay for NEXT year. I've been trying to catch up on a myriad of different fronts lately. Hope you're out cruising off the CA coast and can celebrate your birthday for the entire month of April. Wouldn't it have been fun to be born on April Fools Day. That would have called for some GREAT PARTIES! Let me know if you're ever in the Laguna Beach area. Luckily our business has never had to shut down, through all this C _ _ _! Can't let the interior or exterior plantscapes die! Keep up your healthy state of mind and body. Wonder when/where our next Reunion will be. Maybe YOU should be in charge. Just food for thought. Big Belated BDay hugs to you + a glass of vino or a Margarita whatever.

Roger, not sure why everyone is assuming you're one of the youngest vs one of the OLDEST? :-) Hope you're out causing trouble and having fun doing it . . . Maybe a celebration dinner at Trader Vic's or The Tonga Room? Enjoy whatever . . . BDay Hugs

Roger was definitely too old for you! Gosh, I'm SURE that's a current photo of you too! Have a great one, surrounded with ALL YOUR FRIENDS . . . some place fun, and be a trouble maker! Gotta live life WHILE WE STILL HAVE IT! 'Non-Virtual' 'No Mask' BDay Hugs !

Hi Cathy,
I guess sort of a Halloween surprise for your parents. How SCARY. How you & Tom are down in the desert already, so you can be celebrating there. I'm playing in a BOO HOO golf tournament on Tuesday here. Fun costumes I'm sure. I'll have to send you a photo of the New Shirt I'm wearing. It's Black with an Orange kind of silhouette of Trump's head and it reads MAKE HALLOWEEN GREAT AGAIN. So wearing it with some ORANGE pants and probably some white ghost or skeleton earrings. Should be lots of fun and the weather is perfect for it. Today it's already 81 degrees here on the coast. Have a great BDay ! And hope Tom is spoiling you rotten, like I'm sure he does everyday. Hugs, Farrell
